Educators have come to understand that workshops and courses alone do not provide all the support that many teachers need to establish new approaches and strategies in their classrooms. IWP teacher leaders can be highly effective in bridging the gap and helping bring instructional improvements to life in schools. Many schools and districts thus arrange for combinations of workshop time and in-classroom time. Strong in-classroom support requires great skill, however. The teacher leader must build trust with the host teachers. She does not simply take over the class, and must never undermine the standing of the classroom teacher with his or her students.

IWP leaders offer a wide range of time schedules for in-classroom support. Please contact one of the IWP directors to arrange for this service.
