Individuals who are interested in engagement with the Illinois Writing Project but who have not attended an SLI may be involved as Friends of IWP. Friends’ participation may be commensurate to that of Associate or Supporting TC Team members. However, to be considered an IWP Teacher Consultant, and gain voting rights in the organization, one must successfully complete a Summer Leadership Institute with the IWP or other recognized National Writing Project site.
